I saw the sadness in your eye
Tender, soft and sweet,
I saw the little tear
Trickling down your cheek.
I saw you try to smile
Tentative and shy,
I saw your lip quivering softly
Please don’t pass me by.
I saw your head and shoulders
Dropping in defeat,
You could not look me in the eye
Silent in your need.
I saw your heartfelt cry
And what then could I do,
In all your deepest sorrow
What can I do for you.
There is confusion in your face
From the battering of life,
As you wonder where to find
Some safety in the night.

The feeling of being,
Trapped in a cage.

It feels like a prison.

As they crawl,

skin.

Blood shot eyes,
No more tears to cry.

The feeling of
pain,
Isn’t the way to be ashamed.

They went away,
I’ve
watched.

The sun set and raise,
Day to night.

The feeling
of,
Freedom in my veins.

Signs of no more,
Pain that will ever be
gain.

Happiness all around me,
Hate and pain inside me,
Tears going to waste,
Things need to be left unsaid,
Dying from the inside and out
Don’t know how to work this pain or hate,
God please forgive and forget for I am
Crying for this night to end,
Take me away were i don’t have to be here,
I’m cutting myself just being here,

My broken heart cries as I wish you were still near,
all my wishes and dreams replaced with fear.
Fear that I’ll never get you back,
trying to substitute the feelings we both lack.
I know in my heart, it’s all true
and that’s why I am left here truly blue.

Blue because I know the love I felt
and got in return is gone forever.. forever to burn.
Although we have both moved on, I still feel the pain,
the pain that will always remain…within me.
